#7: Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats: Blood Lust

This three piece psychedelic doom outfit from Cambridge was one of the biggest surprises in 2011. Their sound is truly unique combining traditional doom with 70's like psychedelic sound and vibe. The singer Uncle Acid is a mix of King Diamond and Billy Corgan to my ears making it totally enjoyable and extraordinary. The songs are filled with harmonies and vibes and choruses that will be stuck in your head for days.


Their originality and sound was the reason why they climbed so high on my year-end list. Check out the opener I'll Cut You Down which should send you flying across the room.
