#5 Ulcerate: The Destroyers Of All
I don't know many metal bands from New Zealand, but I am happy to come across with Ulcerate a few years back. Their technical death metal has really its own sound setting these guys apart from others. It is controlled by arrhythmic drumming (meaning the tempo is hard to follow, changing constantly and difficult to play), huge and heavy wall of guitars, crushing atmosphere and deep growls. It is like being run over by a 10,000 ton freight train.
There is not much to complain about this album. The only criticism I have is that the songs don't really differ much from each other. That is a minor flaw, but makes the album not a power play record.
Check out Cold Coming and join the headbanging movement.
